The 101CAFFE’ franchise is celebrating new openings in Abano Terme (Padua), Abbiategrasso (Milan) and Corato (Bari)

The more than 150 franchisees of the chain of 101CAFFE’ franchising shops include people with a variety of professional backgrounds and histories, including warehouse operators, managers, housewives, former managers of bars and restaurants and entrepreneurs. The franchisees are both young and old. For some, 101CAFFE’ is their first venture while others have lost their jobs and have decided to open their own 101CAFFE’ to get back on the ladder!
These people have one important thing in common: they decided to join up in order to be able to put their entrepreneurial spirit to use, drawing on the strength of a leading brand in the portioned pods and capsules coffee and beverage sector while operating within a structured network.

Today we are going to tell you about the stories of three new franchisees who, despite the difficulties caused by the pandemic, kept going and reacted by investing in themselves and in their professional development.

24 April 2021: the young Cristian opens his 101CAFFE’ shop in Abano Terme (Padua) with a view to investing in his professional growth

Cristian, 29, decided to open his 101CAFFE’ in Abano Terme after 10 years of experience in the catering industry, first in London as a manager of three 4-star hotels, then in Padua as a manager of a bar in the historic centre. “I decided to open a new point of sale because the portioned pods and capsules coffee and beverage sector is expanding; I was looking for a structured business that could coach me and support me with the opening as I’m young and I didn’t know where to begin”- he confirms.

Our franchisee in Abano is a very talented man who decided to start his own enterprise after years of working as an employee, and we are really happy and proud that he has joined the team!

30 April 2021: brothers Valerio and Vittorio open their 101CAFFE’shop in Abbiategrasso (Milan), choosing to “keep the business local”

Valerio and Vittorio come from Rosate, a town near Abbiategrasso in the province of Milan. Together they managed several commercial activities before joining 101CAFFE’: a trattoria restaurant, a newsagent/bar and a café. They opened their 101CAFFE’ in Abbiategrasso as they are very well known in the area, having managed several businesses in the surrounding towns, something that will undoubtedly help bring in customers to the shop. Valerio, on the opening day, explained jokingly the training period before the grand opening. “It was very challenging but I must say that ultimately, gradually, I got the hang of it and essentially everyone just endured me”. We were endeared to him, he wasn’t “endured”, as he likes to joke, because training is fundamental in the Franchising system and for us, it is essential that before opening the shop, the franchisees are equipped with the necessary basics to manage the business efficiently: if the individual shop has good results, it contributes to the growth of the brand and this is a plus for the entire network!

15 May, 2021: Massimo starts working again and opens his 101CAFFE‘ shop in Corato (Bari) after losing his job

On 15 May Massimo, after 20 years working as a shop assistant in a large chain of electronics and household appliances, opened his 101CAFFE’ shop in Corato in the province of Bari. “I lost my job 18 months ago and it’s thanks to 101CAFFE’ that today I’m back on track. Right from the very start, when I first contacted the company, they helped guide me. I immediately visited a shop together with the 101CAFFE’ network development manager in central and southern Italy and I it was then that I realised what was involved and after a while I decided to open my own shop“.
His story is one of redemption and of rediscovered family confidence after the difficult period he endured after losing his job. It was his wife who introduced him to 101CAFFE’, who helped him find a new job and embark on this new adventure with enthusiasm. He undertook with dedication the training with the parent company together with his daughter who will help him in the shop if required.
