101RECIPES: Coffee icing
Like the famous “cherry on cake top”, the icing is that essential element to complete the preparation of crêpes, pancakes, waffles and other “base” desserts.
Coffee will give a special effect to this recipe!
- 150 gr of dark chocolate
- 120 ml of coffee (3 espresso cups) Grigna
- 75 gr of sugar
15 gr of margarine
- Prepare the 3 espresso cups of coffee
- Pour it into a saucepan
- Add the sugar and margarine while stirring
- Bring to a boil
- Turn the heat to low and add the chocolate
- Keep stirring until the chocolate has melted
- Remove from the heat and mix again until the mixture is homogeneous
- Let it cool down
The coffee icing is now ready: before pouring it over your dessert with a spoon, stir it a little more to make sure it looks uniform.
Also delicious on fruit and gelato or…. eaten by the spoonfuls!
