101RECIPES: Irish Coffee

Irish Coffee is a traditional Irish drink that was supposedly born in 1942 at an Irish airport.
Tradition attributes the creation of the drink to Mr. Sheridan, a bartender at the Shannon airport in Ireland.
A particularly cold night some passengers, cold and angry for the cancellation of their flight, arrived at his bar. The bartender decided to serve them a refreshing drink that would warm everyone
The result was a very strong coffee with whiskey (strictly Irish) and sugar, complemented by cream.
The international success of Irish Coffee is due to a journalist from the San Francisco Chronicle who, passing through the city of Shannon, tried the drink and fell in love with it, writing an article in the newspaper he corresponded to.

Ingredients

Preparation

  1. Make coffee with moka
  2. Pour cream into a bowl and whip it lightly
  3. Heat the glass in which you will pour Irish Coffee: boil some water and pour it into the glass. Empty it once it gets hot.
  4. Put sugar and whiskey in the glass and stir until sugar has dissolved
  5. Pour coffee into the glass until it reaches 3/4 of its capacity. Stir again.
  6. With the help of a spoon, pour the whipped cream into the glass.

If you want to make your Irish Coffee even tastier, you can add flake chocolate, nutmeg powder or hazelnut beans!
