Ingredients for 2 people
- 180g of spaghetti
- 8 knobs of butter
- 15 roasted coffee beans
- 50g of grated Parmesan (or grana) cheese
- salt water to taste
- 1 teaspoon of ground coffee
To prepare your spaghetti with butter and coffee, start by placing a pan of water on the stove and bring it to the boil. Add salt to taste. In the meantime, place the butter and coffee beans in a pan, turn on the stove and melt over a low heat until the butter is completely melted. At this point, add the spaghetti to the pan and add the salted water, covering the spaghetti. Cook for the entire cooking period with this method (chefs refer to this as “risottare”), adding water a little at a time as required. Towards the end of the cooking, be sure to thoroughly drain the water so that none remains in the pan once the spaghetti is cooked. Remember to respect the cooking time shown on the spaghetti pack! Now you can remove the coffee beans, add the Parmesan cheese, and stir well. The spaghetti with butter and coffee can now be served in a dish with a light sprinkling of ground coffee.
