101RECIPES: Tiramisù by Nonna Anna
Today Nonna Anna prepares for us a tiramisù using the recipe that is popular in the Marche region: simple and tasty, just the way she likes it (we too!). Instead of mascarpone, this special Tiramisù is done with custard.
In this recipe, Nonna Anna used some Savoiardi biscuits that she had at home, but you can use any biscuits you like.
As Nonna Anna always says, “let’s start with a good coffee”. Are you ready?
- 6 cups of coffee (here we used 101CAFFE’ Stromboli: delicious, full-bodied and intense, but not too much
- 2 whole eggs
- 4 tablespoons of white flour
- 4 tablespoons of sugar
- Half a litre of whole milk
- The zest of a quarter of a lemon
Prepare 6 cups of coffee and leave to cool
Pour the milk into a saucepan and add the lemon zest
When the milk boils, remove the zest
Meanwhile, crack the eggs into another pan and beat with a whisk
Add 4 tablespoons of sugar and mix well with the whisk
Add the flour and finally the milk, continuing to mix
Now, place the mixture on the stove and stir until the it thickens.
The cream is now ready: remove the pan from the stove and set it aside to cool
Lay the biscuits side by side in the pan and moisten them with the coffee, using a spoon
Once the custard has cooled, pour it over the biscuits
Sprinkle the surface with chopped hazelnuts and then grated dark chocolate.
Now all you have to do is cut it, taste it and, if you want to, share it!
