101RECIPES: Vanilla Cake
The word “Vanilla” conjures up the most wonderful sensations: just like when you bake a dessert that leaves you feeling pampered and relaxed, like the one we are offering you today. We have added a sort of “sensorial sparkle” with the 101CAFFE’ Vaniglietta, something which will make this cake truly unique.
- 200g of 00 flour
- 50g of sugar
- 1 whole egg
- 250 ml of 101CAFFE’ Vaniglietta (i.e. 5 full cups)
- 1 vanilla bean (or 1 sachet of vanillin)
- 10g of baking powder (a good half a sachet)
- 50g of butter
To make that perfect Vaniglietta Cake, remember that all the ingredients must be at room temperature. First, preheat the oven to 180 degrees (static).
Prepare the 5 cups of 101CAFFE’ Vaniglietta and set them aside. Then, melt the butter in a bain-marie or microwave and place it in a bowl. When the Vaniglietta is at room temperature, add it to the butter. Now, introduce the egg and set aside.
In another bowl, add the sugar, the sifted flour and the baking powder. Mix these 3 ingredients together with a spoon and gradually pour them into the “liquid” mixture bowl, then whisk until the mixture has a smooth and even texture.
Grease a 24-26 cm cake tin with butter and dust it with flour, covering the entire surface. Pour the mixture into the tin.
Place in the oven and cook for 35 minutes. In any case, before removing, perform the “toothpick test”. We didn’t include any toppings because we like the Vaniglietta Cake as it is: nice and simple, just like all the things that make us feel good.
