Rubicone by 101CAFFE’ owes its name to a famous river that flows in the province of Forlì – Cesena, in the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna, leading into the Adriatic Sea, historically famous to have been crossed by the Roman general Julius Caesar on January 10, 49 B.C., as he led his army across the Rubicon river in Northern Italy, pronouncing the well-known Latin phrase “alea iacta est”, translated into English as “the die is cast”.
Such a glorious name for such a popular coffee: Rubicone is the excellence Premium coffee of Romagna, coming from a selected artisan Roastery in Riccione, a famous holiday resort of the Riviera Romagnola on the West Coast. Rubicone by 101CAFFE’ is a coffee composed of 80% Robusta from the best plantations in Asia, with a touch of Arabica from Central America (20%).
It is known for its strong flavour and good aroma intensity and its rich, reddish-brown crema.
A particular roasting process that follows a traditional recipe from Emilia-Romagna, gives this Espresso a velvety body, with a resolute, strong and intense taste, very appreciated also by demanding and gourmets people of Romagna region who welcomed our coffee among the “10 e lode” haute cuisine top products.
