101RECIPES Beef steaks with coffee

On mid-August as on Easter Monday it is typical to have a barbecue with friends and relatives; that’s why today we suggest a recipe suitable for barbecue.
Combining coffee with a steak may seem like a crazy idea. Initially it was also for us.
Then we tried it and now we can no longer do without it: we love it!
Ingredients
- 250 gram beef steak, between two and three centimeters high
- extra virgin olive oil
- Fine ground coffee: here are the ground coffees of 101CAFFE ‘
- Brown sugar
- coarse salt
- ground black pepper
Preparation
- Remove excess fat from steak
- If it’s not soft enough, make it soft with a meat grinder
- Mix spices (coffee, sugar, salt and pepper) in a bowl
- Brush the steak with olive oil on both sides
- Cover it with mixture of point 4
- Let it rest for at least 20 minutes before putting it on the grill
- Cook it to taste
- Before serving, let it rest – but if you are a master barbecue, you should already know this;)
Another cooking option (in case of rain …)
Instead of using the cooking on grill you could scald it in a pan.
In this case you will need more butter (50 grams) and the procedure will be this:
- Remove excess fat from steak
- If it’s not soft enough, make it soft with a meat grinder
- Mix spices (coffee, sugar, salt and pepper) in a bowl
- Sprinkle the steak with the mixture of point 3
- Leave the steak to rest for at least 20 minutes before cooking
- Heat a non-stick pan or grill pan thoroughly
- Add some oil and heat it
- Put the steak in the pan or grill pan and cook on each side – including the sides – until it turns brown (do not burn it, we recommend)
- Once the desired color is reached, add the diced butter
- When butter has melted (do not burn it!) tilt the pan and sprinkle the steak several times with butter
- Once ready leave steak to rest for a few minutes before serving
