Cappuccino pancakes with coffee syrup

If you love coffee and Sunday brunch, cappuccino pancakes are perfect for you. Some suggestions: make them tastier by adding ice cream and coffee syrup (which we will prepare together). Recipe for 4 – 6 people

Ingredients and cappuccino pancakes recipe

  • 1 cup and a half of 00 flour
  • 1 tablespoon of yeast
  • 2 tablespoons of ground coffee
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • Half a teaspoon of salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 2 tablespoons of melted butter


  1. In a large bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, ground coffee, sugar and salt
  2. Create a “volcano” and add the egg, milk and melted butter
  3. Stir to create a homogeneous mixture (okay even if there are some lumps)
  4. Pour a quarter cup of batter onto a heated plate and cook each side until it is lightly browned
  5. Serve hot with whipped cream and coffee syrup (see recipe below)

Ingredients and coffee syrup recipe

  • Half a cup of intense coffee
  • A quarter cup of cocoa powder
  • A quarter cup of sugar
  • A quarter teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract


  1. In a small saucepan, mix together coffee, cocoa powder, sugar and salt, bringing to a boil over medium-low heat.
  2. Stir until the syrup begins to thicken, it will take about 5 minutes
  3. Remove from heat and mix with vanilla extract.

Pour it on cappuccino pancakes.

A little tip: add some ice cream!
